Tania Zaman began her career in 1987 as a young professional with UNDP. After stints in policy and programming in New York, Nepal and Vietnam, she joined the International Health Policy Program, housed in The World Bank, in Washington DC. Over the next eight years she managed research and policy analysis for reforming the health sector in 11 African and Asian countries. From 2001-2011 she worked in Bangladesh in various public, private and non-profit organizations.  

Tania’s assignments included Governance Advisor at the Netherlands embassy; Social Development Advisor with HLSP Consulting Inc., Head of Advocacy and Research at Save the Children UK and Chief of Staff of BRAC. In 2011 she returned to the US as Executive Vice-President of Future Generations, a CSO with programs in Asia, South America and the USA and an innovative, community-based, graduate school. From 2014-2019 she worked with Plan International in Bangladesh in management roles that involved strategy formulation and co-creating and implementing projects with the government. After leaving Plan International Ms. Zaman joined Nirapon, a membership organization of North American brands providing safety monitoring, oversight and reporting services for their source RMG factories, as Director Operations and Strategy in late 2019.  Tania holds a B.A. in Economics from George Washington University, an M.Phil from Yale University and an American Management Association certificate in human resources.  She is based in Maryland, USA.
