M Tareq is a seasoned management professional with more than 20 years of experience in various positions and capacities. Tareq has worked at home and abroad in leading global brands and international organisations e.g. Save the Children UK, IUCN – The World Conservation Union, Concern Worldwide, Grameen Phone IT/Accenture, ACME Tele Power (Mauritius) Ltd., Poh Lian Bluestar (Singapore), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian Embassy), Operations Specialist Group Australia Pty Ltd., Delegation of the European Union to Australia, Canada Border Services Agency (Asia Pacific Region), Australian National University/ANU-Enterprise, ACT Government, ASG Group Ltd (An NRI Company).
Tareq also had led number of successful consulting projects:
- Developing human resources strategy GFATM project- a Global Funding from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in association with USAID and Save the Children International to combat HIV/AIDS/Tuberculosis/Malaria in Bangladesh.
- Executive Recruitment (BRAC International, German Embassy).
- HR Policy and Procedures development (for American/Bangladesh Joint Venture company).
- Develop and review compensation and benefit strategy for various organisations.
- Introduced online induction systems and soft skills learning portals in GrameenPhone IT.
Tareq also led employee engagement surveys for various organizations. Tareq has successfully led more than couple of hundred recruitment processes over the last 15 years time and led soft skills training programs for GPIT/Accenture, Confidence Group, British Council, Save the Children and so on.
Tareq led a team of editors for more than 10 years of publishing the quarterly newsletter ‘HR Focus’ sharing the best Human Resource Practices supported by BSHRM, which includes planning, designing the contents, interviewing number of successful business leaders inf Bangladesh, edit, publish and sharing within the HR and business communities.
Tareq has completed the ‘Leading Strategic Innovation: How to Lead with Purpose’ course from Deakin University, Australia in 2020. He has also completed the ‘Professional Communications – SH1000’ from Open University, Australia in July 2020. Tareq is the board member of a number of charities at home and abroad.
